Biography

Luis Loredo · Mexico

Luis Loredo Mendoza was General Manager at Alcore Regiomontana in Monterrey, where he led all areas of industrial operations end to end: production, engineering, maintenance, quality, human resources, supply chain, sales and administration. With more than 30 years of experience in manufacturing, his career stood out for applying the Toyota Production System and lean methodologies to transform operations, reduce costs and develop technical talent.

If it doesn't improve the process, it isn't an improvement; it's an illusion.

Luis Loredo

A Mechanical and Administrative Engineer from ITESM with a Master's in Manufacturing Engineering, Luis built a strong technical foundation complemented by certifications such as ISO 9001:2000 Lead Auditor and OSHA 10-Hour Safety. He specialized in tools such as Six Sigma, kaizen, SMED, 5S and poka-yoke, which he applied systematically in complex environments to achieve drastic improvements in productivity, quality, safety and profitability.

Reducing costs without killing quality is the real art of this game.

Luis Loredo

At Grupo AlEn, he led a plastics recycling and injection molding plant, achieving savings in the millions by increasing the use of recycled materials, improving maintenance and raising the fill rate from 81.8% to 96.3%. At PROLAMSA (Texas), he reduced cost of poor quality by 22%, increased productivity by 14% and boosted production by 55% by optimizing resources. During his time at Industrias Automotrices LODI, he achieved 103% increases in P&L in just four months.

Previously, at GE Transportation and Mauser USA, he substantially improved scrap, efficiency and compliance indicators. At Prolec Energy, he applied SMED, Six Sigma and kaizen to achieve 13% increases in productivity and savings of up to USD 850,000 per year. At Danfoss Drives, he held production and quality roles, where he improved productivity by 15% and reduced defects by 35%.

Kaizen isn't an event. It's an uncomfortable but powerful mindset.

Luis Loredo

As an independent consultant since 2023, he has helped industrial companies redesign KPIs, implement lean methodologies, build high-performance teams and professionalize operational structures. He has also ventured into his own business with a franchise under the name Bahama.

Toyota didn't invent anything: it just made it obvious, repeatable and disciplined.

Luis Loredo

Multilingual, he speaks Spanish, English and French at a professional level, which has allowed him to lead operations and multicultural teams in both Mexico and the United States. He is the author of the short story “Acerca de un Sombrero” (About a Hat), a reflection of his critical thinking and creativity applied beyond the industrial realm.

There is no school that prepares you better than a leader willing to teach.

Luis Loredo

Luis is a benchmark in operational transformation, lean culture, indicator-based leadership and integrated manufacturing management. His technical, strategic and human profile positions him as an all-round expert in industrial excellence.
