Walter Ferrufino built his career leading engineering, operations and continuous improvement areas in the pharmaceutical sector in Bolivia. His professional approach combines a solid background in business administration with more than 19 years of experience directing strategic areas at leading companies in the country.
An engineer who doesn't see the whole system becomes part of the problem.
He began his professional path in finance and sales, holding management positions at large-scale companies such as SABSA, COMTECO and CBBSA – Embotelladora Pepsi. There, Walter Jorge Ferrufino Ponce demonstrated advanced skills in strategic planning, leadership of multidisciplinary teams and budget control, achieving significant milestones such as the reorganization of sales structures and the nationwide expansion of operations.
During his time at Serranía Nevada SA, a subsidiary of SABMILLER PLC, he was responsible for launching high-impact brands in the market such as Cordillera and Miller Genuine Draft. This experience consolidated his reputation as a Bolivian business leader capable of executing product positioning strategies in highly competitive industries.
Errors in a pharmaceutical plant are not corrected, they are prevented.
He later took on the General Management of companies in different sectors such as Dispack SA (packaging and food), American Printer (printing and graphic communication) and NomadaCorp, leading deep organizational transformations. His ability to adapt to diverse contexts allowed him to implement continuous improvement processes, lead key negotiations and build results-focused corporate cultures.

He currently heads a benchmark institution in Bolivia's healthcare sector. In his role as General Manager, Walter Ferrufino Bolivia has promoted the integration of international quality standards, process automation and the professionalization of medical and administrative teams.
