Working at STARKIST taught me that time doesn't forgive a single variation.
He began his career as Production Head and then Production Superintendent at Starkist Co. (Del Monte Foods) in Ecuador, where he oversaw tuna processing operations, meeting demanding international quality standards. He then served as Production Manager at SARDIMAR S.A. in Costa Rica and at GRUPOR TUNY in Mexico, leading industrial plants with a focus on operational efficiency, budget control and the optimization of key productivity indicators.
He was also Production Manager at NEGOCIOS INDUSTRIALES REAL S.A. (NIRSA), one of the most important fishing companies in the country, before moving into consulting at Dongwon Systems Corp., technically representing the Korean company in Latin America in tuna packaging and processing technologies.
Success in fish processing plants is standardizing without losing adaptability.
He later took on executive roles at MARBELIZE S.A., Grupomar Perú S.A. and Seafoods Consultancy Services, where he combined his technical experience with consulting in product innovation, technological development and the comprehensive management of seafood processing plants. In all these positions he demonstrated a strong ability to lead multidisciplinary teams, redesign industrial processes and ensure operational profitability in challenging environments.
At ENVASUR we redesigned the entire packaging system for premium export.
At ENVASUR S.A., first as Technical Manager and then as General Manager, he led the company's transformation, strengthening its regional positioning and optimizing the operation from raw material management to the export of the final product.
Innovation isn't always digital: sometimes it's changing the order of a cold line.
Julio stands out for his experience in canned, vacuum-packed, raw and frozen processing; his command of organizing tasks and work teams; and his focus on applied innovation.
